Floyd Campus Librarian

Assists the Dean in operations of the libraries, contributing to the mission, goals, and plans of the college, which may include assessment, budgetary evaluation, and statistical reporting
Through membership in the library management team, assists with interpretation, development, and evaluation of policies relative to libraries and testing centers. Provides guidance and leadership for policies, and disseminates information to faculty, staff, students, public and other constituencies
Works with the respective campus dean or site director to ensure library services are meeting the needs of the specific campus environment
Interviews, hires, trains, and supervises part-time personnel; trains and supervises full-time personnel; prepares related budget justifications and reconciliations as needed, approves OneUSG payroll
Provides public service and reference assistance to individuals and groups
Serves as faculty liaison; prepares and teaches library instruction exercises; coordinates with faculty regarding student assignments; participates in the information competency program and teaches related classes
Serves on college committees, attends meetings as required.
Participates in professional development workshops, continuing education classes, and conferences
Participates in collection development, including management of the leased book collection and weeding of materials

Qualifications Masters degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program
Minimum of one year supervisory experience, preferably in a library setting
At least three years of professional work experience, preferably in an academic library setting
Will need to work one night per week during the semesters until 9:00 PM
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid drivers license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
