Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian

The Georgia Tech Library seeks a confident, energetic, forward-thinking and highly collaborative Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian to join the Campus Engagement & Scholarly Outreach (CESO) Department. The CESO department consists of fifteen librarians who collaborate on delivering innovative services, outreach programs, engagement activities, scholarship initiatives and instruction to students and faculty across campus.
The Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian will be collaborating with the Georgia Tech commercialization units to create and develop the Librarys Business Intelligence research service that will provide in-depth IP and market/industry research to selected Georgia Tech researchers and entrepreneurs. Given the broad range of research at Georgia Tech, a successful candidate will be eager to collaborate across a wide range of science, engineering and business. The librarian will serve as the project manager for the Librarys Business Intelligence service and work closely with other librarians on the team, including the Patent Information Analyst, the Business Reference Librarian and others.
The Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian will be the liaison to the Scheller School of Business. The librarian will build relationships with Scheller School of Business faculty and departments and identify new opportunities for collaboration, including instruction and course development support for entrepreneurship and business. Instruction will be an important part of the position.
The Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian will not be responsible for individual student consultations and will instead refer those to the Business Reference Librarian. There are no evening or weekend reference desk hours since the Georgia Tech librarians do not staff a reference or information services desk.
The successful candidate will contribute to Library Next initiatives and projects, and will serve as a connector between the Librarys Innovation & Ideation support services and the student entrepreneurship groups on campus. In addition, the candidate should be prepared to participate in scholarly research and be professionally active.

Qualifications Required Qualifications
ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library or Information Science, or related advanced degree
Minimum of two years of professional experience working in a business school academic setting, or experience working in a corporate or other type of business environment.
Demonstrated experience delivering instruction in business in an academic library or a corporate library
Demonstrated experience delivering research support services in business in an academic library or a corporate library
Familiarity with a broad range of business, marketing, entrepreneurship resources
Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and complete tasks and projects on time in accordance with project parameters.
Knowledge of and ability to use available statistical data for the social sciences Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to engage with a variety of user populations
Preferred Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in either business, management, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, operations, or entrepreneurship or related.
Familiarity with data analysis software such as SAS or Stata
Knowledge and experience in project management
Evidence of the ability to participate in professional organizations and engage in research and publication as required for promotion
Application Instructions Faculty Status
The position will be appointed as a member of the Instructional Faculty of the Georgia Tech Library, is non-tenure track and is subject to the review and promotion process for all Georgia Tech librarians and archivists. As a member of the Georgia Tech Library Faculty, the incumbent will have an effort distribution of 80% excellence in assigned duties, 10% scholarship, and 10% professional service. Salary and rank commensurate with credentials and experience. This is a full-time faculty appointment. This position will be appointed as a Librarian I or Librarian II based on skills and qualifications.
