===Job Description ====

West Georgia Regional Library System (WGLRS) seeks a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual for Business Manager to manage the library systems financial operations. This position reports to the Regional Library System Director. The successful applicant will thrive in an atmosphere of growth and change in a system that is evolving on many levels, including the renovation of new and existing member libraries and the emergence of a centralized library operations model. This position reports to the Library Director.

=== Essential Functions ===

●Manages all financial operations for the regional library system including payroll for 50+ employees, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and funding requests.

●Prepares and organizes financial reports for 19 member libraries and regional office. Presents and discusses financial reports at board meetings.

●Works with the Director to prepare annual budget and any adjustments necessary.

●Prepares requested information for annual audit.

●Maintains fixed assets/inventory.

●Manages and organizes all financial paperwork to ensure ease of access.

●Coordinates with IT Director to manage the E-Rate Program.

●Performs all other duties required for financial operations of the Regional Library System.

Qualifications ==Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities===

●Extensive knowledge of governmental financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, fund management, and generally accepted governmental accounting principles.

●Knowledge of finance related best practices, procedures, and policies.

●Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.

●Strong skill-set with financial software.

●Ability to prioritize, adapt to multiple demands, balance changing priorities, coordinate multiple ventures, and guide projects through to completion.

●Strong oral and written communication skills.

●Ability to discuss financial subjects clearly and concisely with internal and external customers.

●Capacity to interact in a positive, effective manner with all staff and the general public.

●Perform job duties with a minimum of supervision, work collaboratively in a team environment, and demonstrate professional standards, good judgment, dependability, and timeliness in work environments.

===Job Requirements===

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field and/or a minimum of four years governmental bookkeeping/accounting experience in a similar position required. GASB knowledge desired. Extensive experience with financial software required with experience in Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred.
