Want to focus on teaching? Join the Trustee Library instruction team at Brenau University in Gainesville GA, just north of Atlanta. Our instruction librarians are multi/cross disciplinary, teaching in the health sciences (Doctor of Nursing Practice, Occupational Therapy Doctorate, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and related Masters programs) education (Specialist and Masters) and business (MBA and related Masters). We teach everything from workshops to one-shots to credit courses.

Brenau is a Chronicle of Higher Education 2017 and 2016 Great College to Work For, noted for respect and appreciation of its faculty and staff, good relationships with supervisors/department chairs, and its teaching environment.

Promotions have created an opportunity for a Graduate Instruction Librarian committed to making a difference in our students academic lives. The right team member will demonstrate effective engagement with graduate students, an understanding of students learning preferences, excellence in instruction librarianship and collegiality among the faculty. Brenau University librarians hold faculty rank; this 12 month non-tenured position may be an assistant professor depending on experience. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The start date for this position is August 15, 2018.

Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in the health sciences literature
Experience working with graduate students
3years of instruction experience

Minimum Qualifications:
MLIS from an ALA accredited institution
Experience with creative design and delivery of course-integrated instruction
Experience with web 2.0 technologies including LibGuides and LibAnswers or similar tools
Team player able to work collaboratively with faculty, students and library team members
Flexibility and initiative to work in a dynamic small library environment with a strong student-centric service orientation
Interest in promoting the librarys instruction program
Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and oral
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and library team members
Dependable and collegial
Commitment to professional development and university service
