Academic Success Center Coordinator

Location: Library and Academic Support Services, Central Georgia Technical College

Under general supervision, the Academic Success Center Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising tutoring services and general operations within the Academic Success Center on the Macon Campus. The Academic Success Center Coordinator must be able to tutor in one or more of the following subjects English, Math, Microsoft Office 2016/365, Psychology, and Reading.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the Academic Success Center including the staffing and scheduling of professional and peer tutors.
- Provide training for professional tutors and peer tutors.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student usage, including assessment of tutoring center effectiveness.
- Coordinate campus tutoring center activities with faculty and related college personnel, including study skills workshops.
- Provide academic assistance to the individual student or small groups of students with the primary goal of helping the student(s) become successful, independent learners.
- Assist the Executive Director of Library and Academic Support Services in the recruitment and hiring of professional tutors and peer tutors.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college.
- Documented two (2) years related work experience

Preferred Qualifications, in addition to minimum qualifications:
- Masters degree in education or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Prior experience tutoring, teaching, or training adult learners.

(Unofficial transcripts are accepted to the extent that they indicate that the degree or credential was earned/conferred; grade reports and diploma copies are not accepted in lieu of transcripts).
- Non-photo license(s) and/or certification(s) which fulfill the requirements of the position.

Educational credentials, degrees, or coursework cannot be considered without transcripts. Incomplete application packets at the time of the position closing may not be considered. It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain and upload the application documentation by the stated deadline.
