Electronic Services Assistant

Serves as lead web administrator for the librarys web presence which includes the librarys web pages and Springshare suite (LibAnswers, LibCal, LibChat, and LibGuides). Applies web accessibility and usability goals, approaches, and guidelines.
Serves as lead technical support for users and library staff by troubleshooting, resolving or reporting equipment, hardware, or software issues.
Maintains the equipment inventory, performs routine updates and maintenance, and participates in the acquisitions process.
Trains and supports library personnel in the utilization of new and existing technologies.
Supports the library instruction program and marketing goals by participating in the development and production of videos, guides, visual aids, or tutorials.
Documents procedures and technical instructions. Assists with maintaining data for reports or assessment surveys.
Establishes professional relationships with vendors, GALILEO staff and Clayton States Information Technology Services staff.
Participates in professional development activities as time permits.
Recommends to the Head of Access and Electronic Services new programs, policies and procedures to improve library service to the Clayton State community.
Performs other duties that may be assigned to carry out and expand the Library program.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree or two years of appropriate computer experience.
Working knowledge of contemporary web development languages, frameworks, protocols, or standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, API, PHP, etc.)
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
Aptitude for detailed work in addition to strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Experience using imaging or design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, etc.).
Experience using audio and video software (Camtasia, Jing, Adobe, etc.)
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS X, Android, iOS), Microsoft Office, and Office 365 applications.
Awareness of emerging technologies and trends for academic libraries.
Enthusiasm for and ability to learn new technologies through self-directed learning.
Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
