Description (no travel required)
It's time to update your GOLD union listing skills! OCLC Union Listing in Passport has been retired, and all union listing functionality (including the formation of GOLD Serials Local Data Records) has been migrated to OCLC Local Holdings in the Connexion Browser. Just as OCLC Union Listing did in the past, OCLC Local Holdings helps you maintain accurate, current holdings information which supports interlibrary loan by providing your library's holdings for materials in any format, including serials. Maintaining current holdings information supports collection development and acquisitions! Come join other Georgia Online Database (GOLD) members for this 4 hour distance learning course to learn how local holding maintenance can work for you! This class is offered in 2-hour increments for two consecutive days.
Who Should Attend
This workshop is aimed at anyone who has responsibility for GOLD local holdings maintenance and/or anyone new to the concept of how it contributes to resource sharing. This class is available without charge to GOLD member institutions. However you must pre-register to attend as connections are limited to 14 students.
