Seeking a dynamic and innovative professional with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to fill position available immediately. Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, the Regional Library Directors responsibility is to provide strategic vision and leadership in a cutting-edge library system, focused and dedicated toward the advancement of library services and presence within the community. Responsible for directing all aspects of operations for a two-county regional library system serving a population of 24,000.

OTHER CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic planning, identifying critical priorities, fundraising, developing policies, facilities maintenance, evaluation and implementing innovative technologies, determining future service directions, launching new programs, managing a growing staff and defining libraries roles for trustees, funding agencies and state representatives.

Qualifications Graduate degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program. Eligibility for certification level G-5 or higher by Georgia State Board of Certification of Librarians. Agree to submit to a background check and have results that meet the expectations of the employer. 5 years of public library administrative experience including supervision of staff. Demonstrated budgeting ability, experience in a networked library environment. Materials selection across all collections. Successful grant-writing experience, public speaking, experience working with community groups and local funding agencies. Must be able to articulate a vision for the future.
