Asa H. Gordon Library is seeking a team-oriented librarian for a faculty rank; 12 month appointment. Provides active leadership and direction in developing academic and social outreach activities for on-campus and distance education students through collaboration with academic departments and Student Affairs staff; provides library instruction to students. Assists at reference desk; serves as liaison to one of the University's colleges. Some nights and weekend hours may be required; performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications Master's degree (ALA accredited) in Library or Information Science with teaching experience and strong presentation skills preferably in a college setting required. Undergraduate degree in a subject taught at Savannah State University; familiarity with Web 2.0 tools and research databases are essential. Strong public relations and promotional ability with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment are highly desirable; background and or credit check may be required.
