Technical Services Assistant

Location: Trustee Library

This is a full-time position working under the guidance of the Head of Technical Services and includes the following duties:

â¡ Maintaining library statistics monthly, yearly, and as assigned
â¡ Compiling reports and writing analyses with regard to library functions
â¡ Managing inventory of library collection
â¡ Processing discards and deletions
â¡ Serials check-in and processing
â¡ Preparing and receiving bindery items
â¡ Some desk duty
â¡ Other projects as assigned

Qualifications Minimum Qualification:
â¡ Bachelor's degree
â¡ Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
â¡ Strong writing skills
â¡ Customer service orientation
â¡ Initiative to identify and explore opportunities
â¡ Organization skills
â¡ Attention to detail
â¡ Must be prepared to work some nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:
â¡ Familiarity with Voyager library management software
â¡ Experience in a library environment, particularly in technical services
â¡ Knowledge of MS Access
