The Three Rivers Regional Library System serves almost 200,000 people in seven counties, with ten libraries and a bookmobile. The area is renowned for its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and broad range of recreational activities. The metropolitan cities of Savannah and Jacksonville, Florida, are within easy driving distance. The director will oversee all operations of the regional system, including the Regional Library Headquarters. The director will represent the regional library to the state and local governing bodies, support groups, and the general public through direct contact and the media.

Qualifications The Three Rivers Regional Library Board of Trustees seeks a progressive leader, committed to creating and maintaining a team to formulate and carry out a strategic vision to deliver library services to a diverse and widespread community. The Director will utilize previous library experience and critical interpersonal and communication skills to lead the library system. The successful candidate will also possess a keen understanding of public finance, management, advocacy, proficiency with the tools and trends in information technology, and a strong record of dealing constructively with government officials, funding agencies, and support groups. The qualities of integrity, vision, leadership and cooperation are vital. An MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited program is required, along with five years of progressively responsible library experience including administration and supervision.
