Location: Clayton County Library System

Clayton Co. is located 20 minutes south of downtown Atlanta and is seeking a director to replace incumbent who is retiring after 32 years. Responsibilities include: leads and directs activities of the library system within the framework of established philosophy, objectives and policies adopted by the Library Board and Board of Commissioners. Supervises, directs and evaluates the operations of six Clayton County libraries, facilitates staff training and motivation; ensures departmental compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures. Plans, prepares, and monitors budget for the library system; monitors expenditures. Develops plans, goals, and objectives for the library system, maintains a comprehensive, current knowledge of applicable laws/regulations; maintains an awareness of new trends and advances in the profession.
