The Trustees and Staff of the Athens-Clarke County Library, along with the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, cordially invite you to a Dedication Ceremony for the newly renovated and expanded Athens-Clarke County Library.

Sunday, April 7, 2013, 4:00 p.m.

With a special performance by Incatepec at 3:30 p.m. and light refreshments following the ceremony.

Grand opening of Commerce Public Library

The Commerce Public Library has been in a temporary location for about six months while their 9,000 square foot building was being renovated and expanded.

You are welcome to join us at the Commerce Public Library Grand Opening on February 2nd. Activity will abound from 10:30 until 2pm. Specifically, official remarks begin at 11am, then food, then door prizes and more remarks at 12:15, then a 12:30 magic show! Fun for all!

Commerce Public Library reopening

The newly renovated and enlarged Commerce Public Library will reopen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23,

The new facility will feature a children's library more than doubled in size, a new "young adult" area, self-checkout, a fax machine, a new and larger Heritage Room/genealogy section, more natural light, 20 computers (it currently has 10) available to the public, three new touch-screen children's computers, new rest rooms, and even an area for drinking coffee.

A grand opening ceremony is planned for Saturday, Feb. 2

Dedication of new Scott Candler branch library, Dekalb County

The new Scott Candler branch of the DeKalb County library system will open on Aug. 20, with a dedication ceremony the weekend before.

The dedication of the 12,000 square-foot facility will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the new library, 1917 Candler Road, near Decatur.

Grand opening ceremony for Rockmart Library

A grand opening ceremony will be held in the new Rockmart Library at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20.

The new library was relocated from the downtown area into a part of the Municipal Complex at 316 North Piedmont Avenue, building 201, on Monday, Feb. 6.
