Inbound Marketing: The Latest Techniques to Attract More Donors, Volunteers, and Others

http://tinyurl.com/dyhffs6

Nonprofits’ efforts to find supporters are rapidly being supplanted by the need for supporters to easily find you. Learn about specific, low-cost marketing and fundraising techniques that will drive more traffic to you online, and increase your “conversion rate” so more of them become donors, event attendees, and other supporters. We’ll examine how to implement inbound marketing by combining techniques like search engine optimization, pay-per-click, blogs, articles, websites, landing pages, calls to action, links, social media, and more to promote and leverage your content, boost online traffic, generate leads, and convert those leads into supporters. We’ll also discuss how to easily measure results to validate that your fundraising programs are working.

Takeaways:

Build/maintain an interactive website designed to convert visitors to leads

Drive online traffic to your website and social media

Maximize the likelihood prospects can find you

Keep traffic on your site with lots of functionality (i.e., “stickiness”)

Convert leads into donations and other forms of support (i.e., “conversion”)

Track results

WebJunction.org is proud to be hosting an engaging discussion of Rhode Island’s digital inclusion stakeholder engagement process. We’ll discuss why Broadband Rhode Island (BBRI) decided it was important to create a process of engaging stakeholders in order to discuss technology access and use. Key collaborators will explain their involvement, how various sectors were engaged, the impact of NTIA funded projects upon the stakeholder engagement process, and how policy recommendations were created and prioritized.

Target audience: Local or state leaders (libraries, community-based organizations, government, business) interested in building digitally inclusive 21st century communities.

Georgia Library Day 2013

From Diana Very, GLA President:

"Time is money and we all know there's not enough, so we will not ask for time from our legislators this year. We have a tradition of providing the special prints of the original by artist Debbie Davis, matted and donated by Mumford Library Books to give to legislators to remind them of the importance of libraries in the lives of Georgia citizens. This year's print features historic Fort Pulaski in Savannah.

"In order to distribute the prints and not ask for time in their overloaded schedules to join us in a separate room, Georgia Library Day participants will be dividing into groups and delivering the prints personally to their offices with "Love Your Library" stickers to staff.

"This is a great time to come together as a large group to come face to face with our legislators and tell them of the resources provided by their votes. Volunteers are needed and all participation is encouraged. If you don't want to walk the halls of the Capitol, then please come and help coordinate the prints for delivery in Room #123. There's a place for everyone. Bring Board of Trustee members and friends groups to speak about your library."

For more information contact: Diana Very, GLA President, 404-235-7156 or dvery@georgialibraries.org.

Georgia Library Day is held each year during the legislative session. The Georgia Library Association, in cooperation with the Georgia Library Media Association and the Georgia Association for Instructional Technology, holds this event for librarians and other library advocates to visit legislators face to face to urge them to support Georgia libraries.

Let’s talk about what’s for dinner. Or for breakfast and lunch, too. The amazing aspect of food—in addition to its importance and omnipresence in our lives—is that preparation techniques and presentation ideas are endless in variety. New recipes emerge every day, a situation that ensures cooks need not go stale and meals can be exciting time after time. Representatives from Perseus Books Group, Sterling Publishing, and Tuttle Publishing will treat webinar attendees to what’s new in their lively lineup of cookbooks. Moderated by Adult Books editor Brad Hooper.
