Meeting needs of 21st century GA libraries. A discussion of the new technology demands -- and opportunities -- in libraries, from ebooks and internet access to social media.

What about funding? Hours cut, services eliminated, no money for new materials. The challenges facing libraries are immense and not predicted to get better any time soon. How can friends help -- through community support efforts, fundraising, volunteering.

Social media to grow your library community. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn. We share ideas about how to use the growing power of social media to engage people -- and especially the younger generations -- in the events and needs of your library and Friends.

Growing Friends memberships. These days, libraries need more Friends! In this session, we’ll share the best ideas from across the state. Bring yours!
