Proof of Concept: Applying Project Management Principles to Your Workplace
In program #2, we will ask participants to take one of several principles of project management and apply it to their situation, and then give us a short report after one week. Those reports (which will remain anonymous) will be shared via this final webinar. Here are the lessons of project management from your peers: what worked, and what didn’t, in real situations.
The principles:
- Writing and sharing benchmarks in simple language.
- Setting deadlines to evaluate how long tasks really take
- Deciding how “good” something should (or can) be.
- Writing one daily, personal goal to help stay focused.
- Choosing things to stop doing, temporarily or permanently
- Sorting priorities.
If you have a different principle from the webinar that you want to focus on, check in with Pat Wagner after #2. You need to attend either webinar #1 or #2 in the series to submit a project to #3, but anyone can attend #3.
