Description
Why should we care about 21st century libraries... and what does that phrase mean, anyway? Why should we care about customer-focused service, innovative library services, emerging technologies and 21st century skills? What's in it for us? What's in it for our customers? How can we move forward when we have such limited resources? Who's going to lead the way? Who knows the answers to these questions?
George Needham and Joan Frye Williams will tackle these questions and others in the first Georgia 21st Century Library Speaker Series event on August 24 and 25.
George and Joan are nationally recognized for their engaging, fun and thought-provoking presentations. They love what they do and they have a unique understanding of the challenges faced by libraries around the country! Prepare to hear their individual perspectives on 21st century trends, innovations, skills and best practices taking place in libraries of all types and sizes. They will inspire, motivate and encourage us to think outside the box and envision the 21st century possibilities.
This project was made possible by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
