13th annual Georgia Literary Festival
Sautee-Nacoochee Community in Northeast Georgia
The 13th annual Georgia Literary Festival will be held in the Sautee-Nacoochee Community in Northeast Georgia on October 15, 2011. The community is nestled in the beautiful Northeast Georgia mountains several miles south of Helen, GA. The festival is sponsored by the Georgia Center for the Book with the Georgia Humanities Council.
A committee of local citizens is now at work planning the festival activities. The co-chairs of the 2011 festival are Michael Humphrey, program manager for the White County Public Library, part of the Northeast Georgia Regional Library system; and Linda Erbele, an author and freelance writer. This will be the first time the festival, a "moveable feast" that is held in a different city each year and which celebrates writers in those areas of Georgia, has moved to the northeastern corner of the state.
