Directors,

There has been much discussion this year regarding the state-paid positions available to newly-created single-county systems. I have reiterated several times that no funding is currently available, and none has been requested, for new positions in FY09. We have also made this clear to the library leadership of those counties that are considering establishing single-county systems.

§ 20-5-57. Penalty

Any failure to comply with the provisions of this part shall result in the forfeiture of all state and federal library aid to the system.
