GOLD-Faciliated Online Training-Fall 07 & Spring 08 Classes Available-Plan Now for GOLD Compliance!

GOLD participants and friends,

“Laissez les bons temps rouler!”

You asked for it to be done in Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 and “voila!”

GOLD-facilitated training sessions (live online) in OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing and Local Holdings Maintenance (LHM) are back with a full schedule and web-based registration available. Helps with "compliance" too!

Both the basics and advanced practices of ILL and Union Listing are being served up – gumbo style - in a mixture of two hour sessions over two or three consecutive days. Thanks to GPLS staff and SOLINET trainers, up to fourteen students per class can take advantage of “no-travel” training from their desktops.

• GOLD neophytes – WCRS/ILL Basics: late Sept 07 and May 08
• GOLD neophytes – LHM/UL Basics: Oct, Nov, Dec 07 and Apr 08
• Experienced GOLD staff – Advanced WCRS: Feb 08
• Experienced GOLD staff – Advanced LHM (nouveau!): Mar 08
• Training is free to staff of GA libraries
• Pre-registration online is required - seats are limited
• Pre-registration closes two weeks BEFORE each session

Please mark your calendars now and plan ahead! Come on, “allons danser”

Got questions? Just axe.

Merci beaucoup!-– Toni Z.
