EBSCO (Novelist) Survey for Public Libraries April 2010

Public Library Directors,

GALILEO has asked if I would pass along this survey from Duncan Smith at Novelist to public librarians. They believe EBSCO is trying to gather information on how libraries are using websites, social media, newsletters, and electronic/digital communications in order to re-design interfaces that better suit your needs.

Options for Earning Contact Hours for Georgia MLS Re-certification

Don't panic - you still have a few months to complete the ten hours of continuing education contact hours required for the re-certification period between July 2008 to June 2010. The attached document lists a variety of free and low-cost options for earning the contact hours you need.

My advice - don't wait until the last minute to pursue these options. It can take up to a couple weeks in order for us to create and send out the attendance certificates for online courses, GPLS training and webinars. Any questions, please contact me at pcarterette@georgialibraries.org
